The Red Helmet

This little red bike helmet was first Will's, and now has been passed from Charlotte down to little Wes.  Thinking of how many adventures and miles this red helmet has already seen, and excited for a few more.

Cubey's Birthday

Tonight, I'm remembering the birthday party we threw for Will's treasured lovie, Cubey.  Will's birthday was a day earlier, and he insisted that Cubey was also celebrating growing a year older.  He was just so cute about it, I kept playing along.

Will thought it would be fun to have a snowball-themed birthday party for Cubey and that, for a party game, we could throw snowballs at each other.  After some compromising, we decided to throw balls of paper and pretend they were snowballs since we'd be inside and all...  He was so serious and thoughtful about planning the celebration.  

As I write this, Will is three years older now.  So is Cubey, I guess.  And you know what?  Right now, they are both asleep, snuggled in for the night still together.  Cubey and Will are inseparable.

I hope it stays that way for a long time yet.

Charlotte's Lemonade Stand

Charlotte's birthday dream for MONTHS was to have her own lemonade stand.  Did I feel a little tacky asking our friends + family to stop by and give us quarters?  Yes.  Yes, I did.  Was it worth it?  Yes.  Yes, it was.

She had the time of her life and won't soon be forgetting all her "people" coming to say hi.  Thanks, everyone for joining in our fun!
